Creation of Fiori Catalogue and Group

·       T-code ‘/N/UI2/FLPD_CUST’.



Creation of Catalogue

·       Create Catalogue -> Mention details as below (ID should end with ‘BC’) -> Save.




·       Add tiles -> Select template ‘App Launcher – Static’.



·       Mention details as below.



·       Create target mapping.



·       Give details as below.



Creation of Group

·       Creation of group



·       Give details.



·       Select Show as Tile.



·       Here, we need to search for our catalogue.

 


·       After selecting catalogue, select ‘+’ and the catalogue will be assigned to this group.




Create Semantic Object

·       T-code ‘/N/UI2/SEMOBJ’.



·       Create new entry.



Creation of Role

·       T-code PFCG.

·       Give Role name and select Single Role.



·       Give Description and go to Menu tab.

 


·       Select Transaction -> Fiori Launchpad -> Launchpad Catalogue.



·       Add Fiori Catalogue and Fiori Group into this role.

MDG Derivation (BADI)

In this blog, we will see how to derive MDG attributes using BADI. Derivations can be divided into two types.  Single-entity derivation:  Automatically populating some attribute value in one entity based on an attribute value from same entity. For this, we use 'USMD_RULE_SERVICE' BADI definition. Cross-entity derivation:  Automatically populating some attribute value in one entity based on an attribute value from another entity. For this, we use 'USMD_RULE_SERVICE_CROSS_ET' BADI definition. MDG Validation (Using BADI)

In this blog, we will see how to validate the MDG attributes using the BADI implementation. So, we are taking the example of the 'BP Grouping' field to make it mandatory on the UI. For this, we should know the technical attribute name for the respective field. In our case, 'BU_GROUP' is the technical name for the BP grouping field.
